Emma Gean Westlake 82, of Indianapolis, passed away July 26, 2008. She was born July 10, 1926 in Scottsburg, IN. Emma is survived by her children, Norman Starr Westlake, Marsha Lea (Garry) Lyon, Preston R. (Elizabeth) Westlake, and Geanora G. (Bradford) Harrington; brother, Joseph (Shirley) Thurman; and 8 grandchildren, Kristen Starr, Christopher Michael, Heather Starr, Teresa Ann, Tonya Lynn, Tim, Emilea Gean, and Douglas.

Hunt, Maudie R.
Maudie Ruth Bailey Hunt 79, of Mooresville, Indiana, died March 19, 2008 Mrs. Hunt was employed as a stock clerk at Peerless Pump for twelve years, retiring in 1986. Survivors include her loving companion, William E. Ferguson; a son, Steven E. Hunt (Jacquelyn E.) of Mooresville; daughter, Lana Taylor (Charles) of Indianapolis; brother, Charles Bailey of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Evelyn Baker of Michigan City, Indiana; 9 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
Fryrear, Teresa L.
Teresa Lambaiso Fryrear 91, Indianapolis, passed away Saturday morning, March 15, 2008. She was born September 12, 1916 in Abingdon, IL to Guytiano and Julia (Phillips) Lambasio. She is survived by her son, Robert E. (Shirley) Clay; two granddaughters, Cheri (Patrick) Brewster and Cheryl (Mark) Mullin; four grandchildren, Kellie (Jonathan) Martel, Jessica Mullin, Austin Brewster, and Madilyn Teresa Rose Brewster; and one sister, Roseliee Boeher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy W. Fryrear on October 26, 1990; eight brothers and sisters; one grandson, Robert Clay, Jr.; and one great granddaughter, Amber Brewster.
Balsley, Rebecca G.,
Rebecca Gail Balsley passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 26, 1940 in Geneva, Indiana to Thurman and Selma Baker. After graduating from high school she attended IndianaCentralCollege (University of Indianapolis) where she met her husband Dewey Balsley, Jr. They married on Nov. 11, 1961; they have lived in Cincinnati, Muncie and Indianapolis. A polio survivor herself, Rebecca was the founder and Executive Director of the Indiana Polio Survivors Association. In addition, while this organization was active, she also served on the Governor's Council for Disabilities. In addition to her work in the post-polio medical field, Rebecca also worked with children in Cincinnati and MunciePublic School systems and most recently volunteered at McClellandElementary School, Indianapolis.
