Staff spotlight-Our Very Own Cat Lady!
Meet Meagan. We certainly wouldn’t call her crazy, but we are crazy about her and so are our Southside cats.
The Best Job Ever!
Meagan found her way to Southside a couple of years ago when she was looking for something to do while her kids were at school. She posted on Facebook that she was looking and thankfully for Southside, our Adoptions Coordinator, Ashley saw the post and invited her in. She works with cats and makes sure they are well cared for, well loved and on their way to finding their forever families.

Meagan, like all of our employees and volunteers, feels very personal about this job and takes pride in her role in helping change the present and the future for, in her words, all the babies. Whether that is monitoring them while they are sick, helping them relax and feel loved or working with adopters to find their perfect new family member, every single day she feels she is doing something to save a life.
A Lifelong Love
A mom of two boys, Meagan has three dogs at home, one of whom she adopted from Indianapolis Animal Care Services. She says she has always known that she loves animals, but did not realize just how deep her love was until she started working at Southside.
