In the early morning hours of February 13th, around 1 am, our barn was engulfed in flames. We are so thankful that a truck driver happened to be passing by and alerted authorities. Firefighters were able to get the fire put out before it spread too far into other buildings, but we lost everything inside. The barn had all of our donated items, our dish room, laundry room, and many other valuable items. The barn was also the home base for our feral cat colony, who have not all been accounted for yet. Not only was the barn lost, but all of the buildings on our property sustained either fire, smoke, or significant water damage as well. In addition, several of our outdoor kennels, much of our fencing, and our feral catio were destroyed. The loss is incredible, and we are devasted. It will take us months, and thousands of dollars to recover. Your support would mean the world to us. Donations can be made here on our website, on our Facebook page, through Venmo at Southside Animal Shelter, on our GoFundMe page, or mailed to the shelter at 1614 West Edgewood Avenue, Indpls, 46217. Thank you for your never ending support.
